The One-Week Kitchen Actually Starts Before Your Trip

The seven-day programme is for execution, not for spending seven days deciding. How BTO Group Reno completes the design before you travel and builds your kitchen while you're away.

There is one important thing to understand about BTO Group Reno’s One-Week Kitchen Upgrade: the seven-day programme is for the execution — not for spending seven days deciding what your kitchen should look like.

To make an accelerated kitchen renovation possible, we complete the important design and selection process before you travel. And you don’t necessarily need to make repeated trips to our office or factory.

We Lead the Design — So You Don’t Spend Weeks Deciding

One of the biggest causes of renovation delays isn’t fabrication. It is decision-making. Which laminate? Which plywood? Which countertop? Which sink? Which tap? Which cabinet configuration? Where should the drawers go? Should the oven be built in? Which colour works with the floor? Should the upper cabinets go to the ceiling?

When homeowners are presented with hundreds of combinations, what should be a simple kitchen upgrade can turn into weeks of discussion. For our accelerated kitchen programme, BTO Group Reno takes a different approach: we lead the design process.

Tell us what you need, show us your existing kitchen and explain how your family uses the space. Our designers can then recommend a practical kitchen configuration based on:

  • your existing kitchen layout
  • storage requirements
  • cooking habits
  • available space
  • preferred style
  • budget
  • appliance requirements
  • materials suitable for the application
  • and most importantly, your required completion date

Instead of asking you to search through thousands of possibilities, we recommend a curated selection of suitable and readily available options. This significantly reduces unnecessary discussion and helps move the project towards production much faster.

Your Kitchen Design Consultation Can Be Done Before You Travel

You may not even need to wait until your holiday begins — the design and preparation process can start beforehand. After the necessary site information and measurements are obtained, subsequent discussions can be conducted remotely through Zoom or Google Meet where appropriate.

During the online consultation, our team can walk you through the whole kitchen, step by step:

Kitchen layout → Cabinet configuration → Material recommendations → Laminate selection → Countertop → Sink → Tap → Hob → Hood → Oven → Hardware → Final details

You can review the proposal from your home, office or even while preparing for your trip. Once the major decisions are confirmed, our team proceeds with technical preparation, material reservation and production scheduling.

Make the Decisions Before You Fly. Let Us Handle the Work While You’re Away.

This changes the entire renovation experience. Instead of a stop-start timeline like this:

  • Day 1: Discuss design
  • Day 3: Choose laminate
  • Day 5: Start looking for a sink
  • Day 7: Decide on countertop
  • Day 10: Confirm appliances
  • Day 12: Start fabrication

we aim to complete those decisions before the accelerated site programme begins. Then your one-week schedule can focus on what actually matters: fabrication, installation, stone, plumbing, electrical, finishing and handover.

A Different Way to Renovate Your Kitchen

Imagine you are travelling next Friday. Before your trip, BTO Group Reno visits your home and obtains the necessary site information. Our designer prepares the proposed kitchen. A few days later, we meet through Zoom or Google Meet.

Rather than presenting hundreds of random choices, we show you a carefully selected combination:

  • “Based on your kitchen, your requirements and your one-week target, this is the cabinet layout we recommend.”
  • “These are the suitable plywood specifications currently available for this programme.”
  • “Here are several laminate combinations we recommend.”
  • “These countertop options can support the required schedule.”
  • “Here are suitable sink and tap options.”
  • “These hob, hood and oven choices are available through our supplier network.”

You make the final decisions with our guidance and we finalise the drawings. Then materials are reserved, appliance specifications are confirmed, stone requirements are prepared, our factory production slot is scheduled, our installation team is scheduled, and plumbing and electrical requirements are coordinated. Then you travel.

Instead of receiving renovation questions every day while you are trying to enjoy your holiday, the major decisions have already been made — and our team can concentrate on execution.

Day 0: Everything Is Ready Before We Take Your Keys

This is actually the most important day in a one-week kitchen renovation. Before you hand the property over to us, we aim to have the critical information confirmed:

  • ✓ Kitchen design approved
  • ✓ Site dimensions confirmed
  • ✓ Plywood specification confirmed
  • ✓ Laminate confirmed
  • ✓ Hardware confirmed
  • ✓ Sink confirmed
  • ✓ Tap confirmed
  • ✓ Hob confirmed
  • ✓ Hood confirmed
  • ✓ Oven confirmed, where applicable
  • ✓ Refrigerator dimensions confirmed
  • ✓ Countertop selected
  • ✓ Plumbing requirements coordinated
  • ✓ Electrical requirements coordinated
  • ✓ Production slot scheduled
  • ✓ Installation team scheduled

Only then does the accelerated execution programme begin. This is the real reason the concept can work. We’re not trying to squeeze an ordinary renovation process into seven days — we’re redesigning the renovation process around a seven-day execution window.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a kitchen really be renovated in one week?

For suitable HDB kitchen projects where the design and product decisions are confirmed in advance, an accelerated one-week site programme can be possible. We assess each kitchen’s scope, materials and site condition before committing to a completion date.

Do I need to visit your office or factory repeatedly?

Not necessarily. After the initial site measurement, the design consultation can be conducted remotely through Zoom or Google Meet, so most decisions can be made from home or the office.

Can the design be finalised before I travel?

Yes. That is exactly how the programme is designed to work — decisions are confirmed before you fly, and the accelerated works are carried out while you are away.

What decides whether my kitchen qualifies for the one-week programme?

Mainly the scope of carpentry, the materials selected, drawing approval, site readiness and any stone or appliance requirements. Tell us your travel and move-in dates and we will advise what is realistically achievable.
